Sennheiser upgrades RF management software to run on Intel Macs

Just in time for Winter NAMM 2010, Sennheiser has released the latest version of its Wireless Systems Manager (WSM) software. The system monitors and controls Sennheiser wireless audio networks for both mics and IEMs. Version 3.2 brings two new major features to WSM. First, the software is now available for Intel-based Macintosh computers running OS 10.4 and above. Second, the software now allows multicomputer network control with easily assignable permissions to facilitate control in complex situations. This capability is especially useful for broadcast and production facilities as well as in concert situations where FOH and monitor mixers wish to communicate.

WSM allows users to preprogram equipment so changes can be made during off hours, which can be very helpful in larger installations. With an integrated spectrum analyzer, it identifies free wireless channels and shows where there may be reception problems. WSM clearly displays all transmitter and receiver parameters on the computer screen, including signal strength, battery strength and output, in real time.

WSM v3.2 is compatible with Sennheiser evolution wireless G3 (300 and 500 Series), 2000 Series, EM 3732, SKM 5200, SKM 5212 and NET 1. It is available to customers as a free download and will be demonstrated in the Sennheiser booth at Winter NAMM, Jan. 14-17, in Anaheim.
