Scopus to unveil Eldorado network management, integrated receiver processor

At IBC2008 Sept. 12-16 in Amsterdam, Scopus Video Networks will roll out its new Eldorado video network management system and integrated receiver processor (IRP).

Eldorado enhances the capabilities of the company’s direct-to-home and content distribution solutions. The system, which features support of IP and ASI routing, addresses operator, teleport and broadcaster requirements by managing services and devices across networks, and can scale from small headends to large and distributed networks.

Scopus also will launch the next generation in its flagship receiving/processing platform for multiformat dense decoding and processing. The new integrated receiver processor (IRP) is based on the technology underpinning Scopus' integrated receiver decoder (IRD) products.

The Scopus IRP addresses a variety of headend, edge receiving and processing applications for cable, satellite, terrestrial and IPTV operators. It handles multiformat SD/HD content, H.264/MPEG-2 decoding, transport stream descrambling, IP edge streaming, ASI aggregation, remultiplexing, transmodulation and HD-to-SD downconversion.
