Riedel will get heard at NAB2007 with its expanding line of intercom technologies, including broader routing possibilities, a plug-and-play party line intercom system, and some improved headsets.
Riedel is building on its 1000 and 2000 series control panels with the 2100s, featuring eight-digit, high-contrast, full graphic LCD displays that show label and cross-point level for each talk key. The 2100 panels offer some features, such as additional analog line level inputs and outputs, which were formerly only available with Riedel's premium Artist 1000 LED control panels.
Riedel's new MADI Client Card provides a MADI interface that allows the tight integration of the artist intercom platform and audio router systems. Since all artist intercom control panels are connected to the matrix via standard AES-3 signals, it is now also possible to connect intercom panels to the audio router using the audio routers infrastructure for panel distribution.
Also showing at the Riedel booth will be the four-channel master station Performer CR-4. In combination with the Performer C3 2-channel digital beltpack, the company calls it "arguably the first real plug-and-play party line intercom system."
The company hopes to get to your head with some new headsets designed for digital intercom applications. The lightweight Riedel AIR headset uses Coolmax exchangeable ear cushions for extra comfort, and the rotatable gooseneck allows the microphone to be worn on either the left or right side.
Riedel worked with Beyerdynamic to design the PRO closed professional headset for digital intercom users. It features an efficient neodymium magnet system, a very high reproduction precision and a balanced sound, along soft earcups and an adjustable padded headband. The dynamic microphone of the PRO headset also makes use of a rotatable gooseneck.
Riedel will be in booth C9428.
