Riedel Introduces Voice-over-IP Windows Vista Intercom Products
At NAB, Riedel Communications unveils its new Artist VoIP-108 G2 client card, which converts eight matrix ports into a compressed IP-stream and vice versa. Audio quality modes include 6 kHz for traffic with a network load of less than 40 kbps per channel, and a low-traffic mode with 4 kHz at a network load of less than 20 kbps per channel. These rates include panel data.
The VoIP-108 G2 client card can communicate with the same card in another Artist system or with Riedel’s new Connect IPx8 panel interface, which can connect up to eight Artist 1000, 2000 or 3000 series control panels to an Artist matrix over an IP network.
Riedel’s latest version of the Director configuration software is now compatible with Windows Vista. The new Director 5.70 incorporates a scheduler function to alter aspects of the configuration at predefined times. Director supports programming the intercom panels in Stagetec’s Aurus mixing console. Artist intercom panels integrate into digital audio mixing consoles and routers by connect the intercom matrix over a standard AES3 signal.
Riedel’s updated Performer C44plus system interface can integrate digital partylines in matrix intercom environments or serve as a standalone matrix for small applications. The new version has a front USB-port for connecting with a PC to configure the internal 24x24 matrix via the new Performer Audio Assignment Software. It offers a 24x24 matrix with 4x2-channel powered digital partyline outputs, 8xAES digital I/Os and 8 x analog 4-wire I/Os.
Riedel Communication is at Booth C7511.
