RF Central features RFX-CMT-II camera-mounted transmitters

RF Central showcased its RFX-CMT-II camera-mounted transmitters at last week’s HD World. Available in 2GHz and 6.4GHz, as well as the license-free 5.8GHz, the CMT-II transmitters are available in either HD/SD or SD-only versions. They interface with all standard full-sized broadcast cameras as well as most smaller format camcorders, via the user-specific mounting adapters. The 2GHz and 6.4GHz units are designed for live ENG news and sports broadcast applications, while the 5.8GHz unit is geared for live sports stadium, arena coverage and license-free applications. All units offer HD upgradability with the latest in high-quality, low-latency, HD encoding technology.

The transmitters offer inputs of HD, SDI, ASI or composite video signals, and they are ideal for live and real time image transmissions. The units feature a variable 6MHz/7MHz/8MHz modulator, 100mw power output and full MPEG menu control by the customer. The 2GHz, 5.8GHz and 6.4GHz CMT-II’s linear RF amplification technology limits spectral regrowth at full power to less than -35dBc, offering robust RF performance. Other frequencies are available upon request.
