By TVTechnology published
Pinnacle Systems is now including HD play-out in its MediaStream servers for the same price as its original SD servers.
The MediaStream now includes 4:2:0/4:2:2 SD and 4:2:0 HD MPEG-2 playout at up to 50 Mb/s as a standard feature of every decoder card. Eight channels of compressed or uncompressed AES/EBU and embedded audio are supported on each video channel, including support for Dolby Digital, Dolby E and Musicam. An optional upgrade to 4:2:2 HD is available for contribution-quality HD transmission applications. Frame-accurate jog/shuttle control is available for both SD and HD content.
For existing customers, Pinnacle has designed the SD/HD option to be compatible with all MediaStream 300, 700, 1600 and 900 series video servers.
