Omneon has released intelligent track management and routing technology designed to improve workflow for multi-language broadcasters. The Omneon Spectrum media server now plays back multiple languages across many channels from a single clip, while automatically detecting and routing the correct language audio track to the correct audio output channel.
The new features include TrackTool, which allows users to add, modify and delete audio tracks and add ID tags within individual audio tracks and route them to designated outputs. The other is Automatic Track Routing, which enables the server to read the ID tags within individual audio tracks and route them only to designated outputs. Once set up the server detects the correct language tracks and routes them to the correct audio outputs.
