At NAB2007, Modulus Video will feature its lineup of new MPEG-4 AVC encoding systems and complete solutions for IPTV, satellite, broadcast and programmer operations. Modulus products boast high quality at low bit-rates, and easy integration with broad support for leading third party hardware and systems.
The company will show its ME2000 family of multiformat HD/SD MPEG-4 AVC video encoders, built around the Linux operating system, with features such as digital program insertion triggers and a low-resolution proxy output stream for program guide or monitoring applications. Modulus will also introduce StatmuxIP, a statistical multiplexing system for the ME2000 line. Supporting both HD and SD operations, StatmuxIP will deliver efficiency improvements up to 40 percent for multiprogram transport stream applications.
Also on display will be the ME2600 high-definition MPEG-4 AVC video encoder, with a rich feature set in a compact, low-power unit. The ME2100 standard-definition MPEG-4 AVC video encoder allows an upgrade to HD with the purchase of a software key. The ME2020 standard-definition MPEG-4 AVC video encoder offers similar functionality as the ME2100 without the ability to upgrade to HD.
Also joining the Modulus family is the new ME2011 encoder, designed for constant bit-rate applications on a tight budget.
For Video-On-Demand movies and local content delivered over IPTV networks, the company will show VODxchange, a complete, real-time HD or SD MPEG-4 AVC video encoding system.
The Modulus Compression Systems Manager enables operators to completely monitor and control their compression operations. The MCSM1000 series delivers configuration, monitoring and redundancy management within a new user-friendly interface that includes thumbnail service views.
Modulus Video will be at booth SU14909.
