Lyon Video Taps Shotoku for Truck Tripods

Production and post-production facility Lyon Video has ordered seven TT-17 tripods from Shotoku for its latest HD truck, the MU-10.

“Our trucks travel the country to support a vast cross-section of major sporting and entertainment events,” explained Bob Lyon, president of Lyon Video. “The equipment we choose must be sturdy enough to withstand the use on the road; flexible, compact and lightweight enough to be stored and shipped easily; intuitive enough to be operated easily by different crews in each location; and available at a very reasonable price.”

The Shotoku TT-17 tripod is built with a single coaxial tube structure and a rust-proof material in the inner tube, so it’s lightweight and rigid. It’s designed to accommodate EFP, outside broadcast, and studio applications. The MU-10 is the latest member of the company’s 14-truck fleet that supports HD and SD location production.
