Klein to address IPTV opportunities, pitfalls during NAB2005 address

CNN’s U.S. President Jonathan Klein will deliver the keynote speech during the "IPTV: The Technology and Market Outlook" Super Session at NAB2005.

During his speech, Klein is expected to discuss the impact and future of convergent media platforms. He will highlight the opportunities and potential pitfalls of this multi-platform approach for content creators, marketers and consumers. The television industry veteran will share his insight on the implications of how these developments will shape the 21st Century news experience.

Following the keynote presentation, an executive panel of experts will discuss how IPTV will enable network operators to launch next generation video services over existing infrastructures to attract new subscribers and increase revenue from existing ones.

Klein became president of CNN/U.S. in December 2004. He is responsible for management oversight of all programming, editorial tone and strategic direction of the network. He previously served as president and chief executive officer of the Feed Room, a broadband video company he founded in 1999.

The IPTV Super Session is scheduled for Tuesday, April 19, during NAB2005.
