IBC Names Michael Crimp as Acting CEO

With IBC2007 approaching, IBC has appointed Michael Crimp as its acting CEO. Crimp steps into the new role after serving as the IBC director of market development.

“The whole IBC team continues to show exceptional professionalism after the shock of the sudden death of our operations director Richard Suter,” said IBC board spokesperson Mike Martin. “We believe that the organization is in excellent shape.”

Crimp’s initial responsibilities as acting CEO will feature co-ordination of the 2007 conference while developing a plan for IBC2008.

“I know I have a great team around me and I look forward to guiding them through IBC2007 and beyond,” Crimp said. “I have taken this role as acting CEO on an interim basis to give IBC time to carefully consider its options for the future, and I expect to step down when a permanent appointment is made.”
