Harris to demonstrate integrated technology solutions at IBC2008

Harris will show its latest developments at IBC2008 that address industry challenges including file-based workflows and multiplatform operation.

Highlights will include the European debut of the new ADC-1000 and D-Series DSX automation systems; tight integration among Harris automation systems and Comperio and Invenio digital asset management systems; new media/VOD sales tool prototypes for the Landmark air-time sales system; and a new version of the Broadcast Master scheduling and sales suite.

Harris also will introduce NEXIO AMP 2.0 at IBC2008, with support for four HD channels (including two ingest channels), and run the first software-enabled NEXIO AMP media applications, which include integrated ADC automation, channel branding, audio track manipulation and multiviewer I/O monitoring.

File-based workflow enhancements for NEXIO AMP include integrated codec support for the P2/AVC-Intra and XDCAM HD 35/50 formats. New scalability options for the NEXIO SAN include tripling of storage capacity to 72 TB; a 60 percent boost in nearline storage to 1.6PB; and a new Media Host architecture, which employs GigE to expand the number of clients that can attach to the SAN.
