Emerson Network Power unveils compact UPS system for reliable protection of critical applications

Emerson Network Power has made available the Liebert GXT3 uninterruptible power supply system. The online UPS product can be configured as a tower or rack-mount model and is available in 120V and 230V systems and in models from 500VA to 3000VA of capacity and battery backup in 2RU.

The Liebert GXT3 features hot-swappable, user-replaceable internal batteries that provide four to eight minutes of battery backup time at full load. Up to six battery-backed outlets allow more equipment to be connected to the UPS.

As businesses rely more and more on IT systems to support business-critical applications and initiatives such as virtualization and VoIP, reliable UPS performance is the key to increasing availability, reducing downtime risks, and enabling future growth. The new unit’s rated output power factor of 0.9 is a better match with switching-mode power supplies used in today’s IT equipment. A higher output power factor allows for more efficient use of the UPS.

The Liebert GXT3 is designed to automatically detect input frequency of 60Hz or 50Hz. The unit also includes an LED display panel that rotates 90 degrees to make the readout of the LED display easy to see in rack or tower position. The UPS supports Liebert IntelliSlot Web Cards for network communications.

Liebert GXT3 is backed by a two-year, no-hassle replacement warranty for both the original and replacement unit in the event of UPS problems.
