Dolby Laboratories will bring the latest in audio processing technology to NAB2007, including a new program optimizer and Dolby Digital Plus for surround sound.
The DP600 Program Optimizer provides intelligent automatic analysis and correction of audio loudness and/or metadata for the most common broadcast media file and audio formats in use today. It also offers optional audio encoding, decoding and transcoding for file-based broadcast environments and workflows.
The Dolby Media Producer suite is the company's professional suite of products that includes Dolby Media Encoder, Dolby Media Encoder SE, Dolby Media Decoder, and Dolby Media Tools. These products support all Dolby coding technologies for disc-based media formats such as HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc, as well as current DVD-Video and DVD-Audio formats.
At NAB, Dolby will also demonstrate an end-to-end integration of Dolby Digital Plus in fully functional and deployable video encoders and set-top-boxes from the company's OEM partners and licensees. Dolby Digital Plus delivers multichannel surround sound for next-generation services including DBS, IPTV, and cable.
