Clear-Com Features New V-Series Panels With IP Connection

Clear-Com, a brand of the Vitec Group, will preview its new IP-enabled V-Series user control panels at IBC2008. The IP connectivity feature will allow users to connect their Eclipse V-Series user control panels to the Eclipse Matrix frame over an existing WAN or LAN Ethernet cable.

Using a new matrix IP card, E-Que IP users can integrate their individual V-Series panels by establishing an IP link back to the Eclipse Matrix frame. The E-Que IP card supports up to 32 V-Series IP panels.

All panels in the V-Series line feature Clear-Com’s “Listen Again” technology that employs digital audio memory to allow the user to replay 30 seconds of received incoming calls.

Clear-Com will also showcase its new version of FreeSpeak (formerly FreeSpeak10) digital wireless intercom system at IBC. FreeSpeak Version 2.0 is centered on a 1 RU base station from which an operator can manage and oversee all communications for up to 20 digital wireless beltpacks.

Additional new features include three configurable IFBs (Interrupted Feedback functionality), allowing the user to assign IFB keys to any number of beltpacks. The beltpacks can then be programmed to act as IFB talent receivers or as the originator of the interrupts.

The system, which is based on a cellular architecture that offers license-free communication, can be controlled from both the bright front-panel display on the base station or remotely via an Ethernet-connected PC that runs the configuration software.

Clear-Com will be at Stand 9.C40a.
