Avid updates ISIS, AirSpeed

Avid has introduced new features to some products designed to help broadcasters reduce costs and increase productivity associated with the news production process.

Version 2.1 of Avid Unity ISIS now offers RAID 6, plus a file gateway that allows Unity ISIS to be presented as a NAS to networked workstations.

AirSpeed Multi Stream 1.3 features added DNxHD support plus IsoSync. In live, multicamera TV, production crews can capture simultaneous frame-accurate video from multiple cameras directly into Avid Unity storage systems through AirSpeed and AirSpeed Multi Stream servers for immediate editing. The record, start and stop of any AirSpeed server can now be synchronized, optimizing multicamera workflows by ensuring that all feeds are on the same frame at the same time.
