Audio-Technica introduces new stereo microphones

Audio-Technica has introduced two new stereo condenser microphones, the BP4025 and AT8022. Both mics feature a new space-saving capsule design in a compact housing that can be camera-mounted, stand-adapted, or handheld.

The BP4025 is designed for broadcast and professional recording. The new smaller housing produces an X/Y stereo image with the spatial impact and realism of a live sound field. The microphone is 48V phantom powered and comes with XLR connectors on the cable.

The AT8022 is designed for use with portable recording gear. It comes with two cables — one featuring XLR and the other with a 3mm TRS plug. It works as phantom powered, or using a single AA-sized internal alkaline battery.
