Technologies for Worship Magazine Pavilion to Utilize Echolab Overture2™ MD Switcher at the 2009 NAB Show

BILLERICA, Mass. — April 6, 2009 — Echolab Inc., a leading provider of professional video switchers and broadcast tools, today announced that its Overture2™ MD (multidefinition) video switcher will be used to produce and create live productions in the Technologies for Worship Magazine Pavilion at the 2009 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show in Las Vegas, April 20-23. Aimed at tech crews, volunteers, pastors, and worship leaders, the pavilion (Booth C12343) offers visitors the chance to learn about every aspect of creating compelling media productions including audio and video mixing, Web streaming, and stage and studio lighting.

The Echolab Overture2 MD will join a number of state-of-the-art devices being deployed at the pavilion. Echolab experts will also be available to offer attendees valuable information on how the technology can help houses of worship create compelling programs for their congregation.

"Price, features, and compactness make the Echolab Overture series ideal for live and recorded productions in the market we serve," said Barry Cobus, vice president of Technologies for Worship. "We expect visitors to be wowed when they see what the Overture can do for the look and quality of their programming."

The Overture2 MD is a 2-M/E switcher that fits seamlessly into current operations that rely on a combination of both analog and digital signals. Compact, feature-packed, and easy to use, the Overture series, which also includes single M/E and SD switchers, has become increasingly popular in worship applications.

"Technologies for Worship Magazine is a trusted resource," said Ankit Patel, senior product manager at Echolab. "Our participation will give us the opportunity to talk to broadcasters in the house of worship space about how our technology can help them create more dynamic and exciting productions for effective communication of their message."

The Technologies for Worship Magazine Pavilion will feature product demos and workshops on a variety of topics — everything from 3-D production design to codec choice to team-building. Also featured at the Pavilion is the Quiet Stage, with live musical performances highlighting technologically advanced digital instrument technology and monitoring equipment.
