Fairlight Welcomes Connie II and Connie III to Its Family of World-Class Mixing Consoles

Fairlight’s ability to respond to the demands of the market has once again been highlighted by the release of two new ‘budget busting’ versions of its popular large-format Constellation mixing console.

The new arrivals – Connie II and Connie III – are ideally suited to customers who enjoy working in a console environment but require a compact footprint and expect real value from their investment. Incorporated into each model is the recently launched XCS panel, which stands for Xynergi Centre Section. XCS brings the power and flexibility of Fairlight’s award-winning Xynergi controller technology, which was previously only available in desktop form, to the entire Constellation range.

“With the Xynergi technology, we have invented a controller that has re-defined how users interface with their creative environment,” says Fairlight’s Sales & Marketing Director, Stuart DeMarais. “Once customers experience Xynergi, any other interface becomes a compromise. It was only a matter of time before we had a crescendo of voices asking for us to incorporate the Xynergi interface into our large format consoles and now we have pleasure in delivering this to the market across the Constellation range.”

Fairlight’s Connie II is a 2 Bay Constellation mixing system configured with a 12 fader panel, Pyxis Track SD video and a new Fairlight Monitor Arm panel - a dedicated panel solution that is ideal for clients looking for more flexibility in monitor panel location, angle and general console ergonomics. Connie II supports expansion with a blank panel that can be replaced now or in the future with an additional Monitor Arm panel, Fader panel, In Line panel, Channel Assign panel or Channel Select panel. In essence, Connie II redefines the entry level price point for a sophisticated mixing console and sets a new benchmark in price/performance for an integrated audio for video post production system.

Fairlight’s Connie III takes the modular concept a stage further by providing customers with a 3 Bay Constellation mixing system configured with a 12 fader panel, Monitor Arm panel, Pyxis Track SD and three blank panels. This larger frame size offers all the key benefits of Connie II but provides space to add more faders and panels as they are needed. This makes Connie III ideal for customers who require flexibility and wish to invest in a future proof solution that allows for growth as requirements change. The three blank panels can be configured now or in the future with additional Monitor Arm panels, Fader panels, In Line panels, Channel Assign panel or Channel Select panel.

Both Connie II and Connie III are driven by Fairlight’s powerful ‘green’ CC-1 engine, an alternative processing platform that delivers increased performance with dramatically lower power consumption. This, combined with Fairlight’s incredible enhancements in its HD on-board video support, file interchange and plug-in capabilities, is sure to resonate with customers who are looking for a modern and contemporary way of working.

“The launch of Connie II and Connie III indicates how determined we are to reach above the competition by offering the market products and features that it just can’t get anywhere else,” DeMarias adds.
