Genesis Networks Delivers HD Documentary Simulcast to Movie Theaters Across the U.S.

NEW YORK — June 4, 2008 — Genesis Networks today announced that in March 2008 it provided Atlantic Video, a premier full-service digital broadcast, film production, and post-production facility on the East Coast, with HD video services — including encoding, satellite uplink, and satellite space — to downlink to select U.S. movie theaters a 90-minute HD simulcast promoting the separation of church and state.

To bring the show to moviegoers this spring, Genesis provided Atlantic Video with a full-time turnkey HD simplex video circuit solution for connectivity from the company's operating center in Washington D.C. to Crawford Communications Inc. in Atlanta. The service included encoding, uplink, all required video and audio transmission hardware, and monitoring and technical support.

"We continuously work to provide engaging content and unique distribution methods for a one-of-a-kind viewing experience. For the distribution of this piece, we needed a reliable, cost-effective method for bringing the show to moviegoers across the U.S.," said Bethel Dudt, project manager for Atlantic Video. "Genesis Networks' expertise and technology excellence allowed us to achieve our goals efficiently and effectively."

"We are grateful to Atlantic Video for giving us the opportunity to provide a video circuit solution for such a unique moviegoing experience. This is further evidence that Genesis Networks is rapidly becoming the premier entertainment provider via satellite," said Paul Parente, vice president of sales at Genesis Networks. "In meeting the needs of Atlantic Video, we've shown the versatility of our full-service solutions, as well as demonstrated the quality of our signal transmission."

Genesis' dedicated network capacity is available in any increment between 2 mbps and 270 mbps uncompressed. The company uses top-of-the-line compression equipment for all encoding, transcoding, and decoding needs, as well as for all compression functions. This allows for the highest-quality signal transmission, at any bit rate, and at extremely cost-effective pricing.

The Genesis network can interface with and accept all digital and analog standards, which means a higher quality signal with no unnecessary conversions. Plus, users can transmit both compressed and uncompressed analog signals over the flexible network.
