TV One Announces Creation of Chief of Technology Position and Appoints New Research and Design Manager

ERLANGER, KY, June 5, 2008 – TV One is pleased to announce Richard Mallett will assume the newly created position of Chief of Technology for TV One, with Robert Drake taking over as the Research and Development Manager. Both are based at TV One’s European Headquarters in Kent, UK. These movements came after the decision to refine TV One’s engineering infrastructure to further develop its proprietary CORIO®2 technology.

“CORIO®2 is the driving force behind TV One’s product range,” explained David Barnes, President of TV One. “It is this superior video processing and scaling technology that sets TV One apart from other manufacturers in the field and in order to achieve continual development and growth of CORIO®2, a purely dedicated focus is required.”

Richard Mallett has been developing video scaling technology since 1988. After ten years of gaining knowledge and expertise he developed CORIO® technology and released the first ever CORIO® products in 1998, the CS-500 and CS-600 Series. He has continued to develop this technology and it has since then evolved into the technology used today, CORIO®2.

“It is a natural progression for the on-going success of our company to allow Richard to dedicate his time and attention to maintaining and improving the technology that has already produced award-winning products, Barnes explained. “Richard’s advancement to Chief of Technology of TV One will ensure that this kind of focus can continue well into the future.”

Taking over for Mallett as the new Research and Development Manager is TV One engineer, Robert Drake. With over 12 years experience in engineering, Drake joined TV One in 2002 and has continued to grow with the company and become a valued member of the department.

“Robert Drake is a true asset to TV One and has the knowledge and expertise required to fulfil this role efficiently and effortlessly,” said Barnes. “I am delighted to appoint him as the new Manager of the R&D team, and I know Richard and Robert will excel in their new positions. We are looking forward to more exciting years ahead for TV One.”
