Crystal Vision's customers get five year warranty

Crystal Vision has introduced a new five year warranty for customers who register their products. This extended five year back-to-base warranty is applicable to all products shipped after 20th August 2009, and is available to those who register their products within 60 days of their shipping date.

The new five year warranty, which was launched on 20th August and which is an extension of the standard three year warranty, covers all labour and parts and is applicable to modules, frames, power supplies, rear modules, fans, active frame front panels and remote control panels. Crystal Vision will repair or replace any defective items free of charge for the period of the warranty, guaranteeing availability of spare parts for five years following purchase, and will also provide critical software updates throughout the lifetime of the board.

Explained Crystal Vision’s Managing Director, Philip Scofield: “Crystal Vision has benefitted from good relationships with existing customers, who have the confidence to repeatedly use our equipment in critical applications. The five year warranty is intended to help indicate to new customers that they can expect to have many years of trouble-free operation after they have installed our equipment, and to formalise with existing customers that they can be sure to continue to get the support they have enjoyed up to now.”

Crystal Vision is well-known for its responsive customer support and detailed technical knowledge. Simulating onsite problems in-house allows the customer support team to get products returned to customers quickly: for example, 100% of boards fixed in July and August 2009 were done within three days.

Crystal Vision has made it easy for customers to register their products, with registration done by either the end user or system installer. They can either fill in the product registration card which is shipped with the equipment and post it back for free, or they can go online to www.crystalvision.tv and register their products there. It’s a quick process, only requiring registration for the whole order rather than the individual products. Customers who register will be sent confirmation of their extended five years warranty, along with a password for the Registered Area on the Crystal Vision website from where they can download the latest user manuals and software updates document. Registered users will additionally receive notifications of user manual updates and new product announcements.

Based at Whittlesford near Cambridge in the UK, Crystal Vision provides digital keyers, picture storage modules and a full range of digital and analog interface equipment including converters, synchronizers, distribution amplifiers and audio embedders to the professional broadcasting industry worldwide.
