Product Highlights at GV Expo

UTAH-400/64 Routing Switcher

At GV Expo Utah Scientific will showcase its UTAH-400/64 digital routing switcher. A self-contained system in a 4-RU frame, the UTAH-400/64 includes dual power supplies and dual controller cards as well as optional redundant crosspoints. The UTAH-400/64 offers matrix sizes from 8x8 to 64x64.

The UTAH-400 family consists of audio and video frames for 32x32, 64x64, 144x144, and 288x288 matrix sizes. All of these frames use a common set of modules. The UTAH-400 was developed to provide a single platform for all digital router applications from very small to extremely large matrix configurations and to handle all digital signal formats. Thanks to an innovative matrix architecture, the UTAH-400 is readily scalable from 8x8 to 1152x1152 and beyond using a single family of matrix building blocks. In addition to this flexibility of configuration, the UTAH-400 offers tremendous reductions in physical space and power consumption requirements.

MC-400 HD/SD Master Control

Also at GV Expo, Utah Scientific will show its MC-400 HD/SD master control switcher and channel branding system. The MC-400 represents a major step forward in signal processing functionality for live and automated master control systems. The MC-400 incorporates all of its signal-processing technology into a single board that can be installed directly in an output slot of a UTAH-400 router frame. This direct connection gives the processor access to every signal within the router -- no need for external connections. The MC-400 can stand alone or be used as part of a multichannel system within a Utah Scientific MC-2020 network. The system's processor board fits into a UTAH-400 router output slot, and dual keyers can be switched between internal, external, and logo sources.
