OmniBus Appoints Director of PBS Market Development

OmniBus Systems has appointed Lorie Callahan as director of PBS market development.

Callahan will manage OmniBus' relationship with PBS and its member stations and work closely with the public broadcaster on the further development of its ACE system and the emerging NGIS (Next Generation Interconnection System) project. ACE is a multichannel broadcast system that functions like a "station-in-a-box," providing comprehensive functionality for playout, automation, master control, and data movement. OmniBus' iTX software-based transmission system is planned to be the cache server for PBS's NGIS project.

Prior to joining OmniBus Systems, Callahan was the vice president of global sales for Percept Technology Labs, where she developed and executed strategic global sales plans including new product and technology development procedures. For the past 16 years, she has had a solid history of serving customers and strengthening partner relationships.

"The NGIS project and partnership with PBS is a huge opportunity for OmniBus to show how our cutting-edge technology and products are moving stations into the future," said Dave Polyard, senior vice president of sales and marketing at OmniBus. "We're confident that with her successful background in sales strategy and technology development, Lorie will lead our efforts and build a solid foundation on which PBS can grow."

Callahan will be based out of the Denver office and will report to Polyard.
