Henninger Files Bankruptcy

Production house Henninger Media Services has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, citing a slowdown in media and advertising services and the events of Sept. 11.

The company is not liquidating or going out of business and expects to recapitalize without any disruption to clients, the company president Rob Henninger said in a letter to its customers.

"Henninger has sufficient financing in place, a suitable investor already lined up and the support of our bank," he said. "With a focused reorganization plan and signs of the economy and our industry rebounding, we remain confident Henninger Media Services will retain the marketplace and industry leadership positions we have worked so hard to achieve."

He noted that Henninger TOOLS was located just six blocks from the World Trade Center and was hit particularly hard by the events of Sept. 11.
