(click thumbnail)Telestream FlipFactory 5.1Version 5.1 of Telestream’s FlipFactory workflow automation solution includes the company’s new MetaFlip technology that transforms video file metadata for submission to cable VOD providers and content aggregators such as iTunes. The new product release also provides additional MXF and HD support to include EVS HD MXF decode/encode, Quantel HD MXF decode, 360 Systems MXF decode and further support for Avid MXF files.
Version 5.1 also adds the capability to encode AMR audio in 3GP files for mobile distribution and further system interoperability with support for Avid Interplay. The new Inverse Telecine with Cadence Correction feature improves media quality when converting from NTSC to film. In addition, a monitoring function has been added for use in connection with automated ingest of commercials from Centaur catch servers.
