Verizon, Turner Broadcasting enter distribution agreement

The deal calls for Verizon to distribute CNN and other Turner networks via the FiOS TV cable competitor due out later in the year

Verizon and Turner Broadcasting System have entered into a distribution agreement to allow the telecommunications provider to carry CNN, Headline News, CNN International, CNN en Espanol and other TBS networks.

Under the agreement announced July 6, Verizon will carry the Turner Broadcasting networks on Verizon FiOS TV when it launches later this year. The agreement also includes TNT in HD.

Verizon FiOS TV will offer customers a competitive alternative to cable or satellite.
