OmniBus to debut iTX v1.2 at NAB2008

OmniBus will be revealing new versions of its iTX production and transmission system as well as its OPUS content management and workflow suite at NAB2008.

The OmniBus iTX version 1.2 delivers a number of new features including schedule preview; support for multiregional breaks and opt-outs; capabilities for newsflash and roll-under situations; closed-captioning support; and enhanced integration with external content stores and video servers to streamline integration.

iTX Edit is a new editing product tailored to the demands of news and sports applications, with an emphasis on speed and ease of use. iTX Business Continuity Process (BCP) is a specially configured variation of iTX designed for business continuity (disaster recovery) applications that includes media replication, fully redundant mirroring and remote operation after evacuation.

The new version of the OPUS system includes soft XML support for customized logging and annotation, frame-accurate proxy generation and viewing, full-text indexing and searching and seamless integration with production NLE systems.
