OmniBus Systems launches new OPUS content management suite

OmniBus Systems has released OPUS Content Management, a fully integrated suite of content management and workflow components that provides the task-based tools that broadcasters of all sizes need to realize the value of their media assets.

The OPUS suite, fully integrated with the OmniBus Colossus automation system and driven by G3 technology, ensures efficient ingest, review, annotation, and storage management of content, with on-demand delivery to automation for on-air transmission.

Key components of OPUS include OPUS MediaFramework, which provides the content management infrastructure and database; OPUS Logging for annotation of content and key frames with associated metadata; OPUS PinPoint for content selection via basic and advanced metadata searching; OPUS View for content proxy viewing and key frame selection; OPUS Index for metadata analysis and text indexing; and OPUS MediaFlow for transfer and transcoding of content among storage, archive, and playout devices.

For integration with adjacent planning and operations systems within the facility, or with enterprise-wide digital asset management systems, OPUS.Interchange provides the exchange of new content orders, content inventory, full content metadata, broadcast schedules, and as-run logs using Web services.

Using the OPUS Workflow process manager, these components are combined to provide content management solutions customized for each operation. Operators view processes with the OmniBus G3 Desktop, designed to include only the required displays and controls.
