Multidyne DVM-8200 offers fiber backhaul alternative

The Multidyne DVM-8200 optical budget exceeds 30dBm.

The DVM-8200 video and audio fiber-optic transport provides performance exceeding RS250C short-haul and broadcast specifications and is appropriate for a variety of applications, including video and audio backhaul.

The system supports eight video, 32 audio and four data channels. A one rack-unit, modular tray will house up to three DVM-4200, DVM-8200 or DIM-8200 cards.

The video signal-to-noise ratio is greater than 75dB, and a signal-to-quantizing-noise ratio is greater than 71dB. The video bandwidth of 8MHz supports NTSC, PAL, SECAM and video with diplexed audio carriers at 4.5MHz, 5.8MHz and 6.4MHz. The differential gain and phase is less than 0.3 percent and 0.3 degrees, respectively. The DVM-4000 supports 24-bit stereo audio flat from 20Hz to 20kHz with an S/N greater than 90dB and THD less than 0.05 percent.

The optical budget exceeds 30dBm. The system is available with 1310nm and 1550nm wavelength lasers for WDM application. Coarse-Wave Division Multiplexing is available.
