Meyer christens Pearson Theatre

Meyer Sound announced that their recently-opened, 57-seat, state-of-the-art theater has been named the Pearson Theatre, in honor of the late live sound pioneer and legend “Dr. Don” Pearson. Pearson, co-founder of Ultra Sound, was passionate in his pursuit of high-quality live sound reinforcement, spending several decades working with bands like Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship, Hot Tuna and Grateful Dead, as well as numerous Olympics broadcasts, political conventions and even Pope John Paul. He joined Meyer Sound as a technical seminar instructor in 2004.

The Pearson Theatre was constructed to serve as a model for the potential of multi-purpose performance spaces, supporting the Meyer’s professional seminar programs and providing a real-world research and development laboratory for the company’s products.

Pearson, 63, passed away unexpectedly January 9 due to complications from routine surgery.
