MediaFLO USA, a wholly owned subsidiary of QUALCOMM, has placed an order for multiple Thomson’s ULTIMATE UHF transmitters equipped with FLO technology.
All Thomson DTV transmitters feature Digital Adaptive Precorrection (DAP) linear and nonlinear signal correction technology, which provides simplified system setup and the maximum RF performance.
The ULTIMATE 5.2kW transmitters with embedded FLO exciter will provide a reliable solution for distribution of streaming video and audio content to consumers’ handheld devices and will be used to support MediaFLO USA’s nationwide delivery of mobile wireless multimedia multicasting services.
