Audio-Technica makes new hires

Audio-Technica U.S. has recently announced two major appointments. Greg Pinto has been hired as vice president of marketing, while industry veteran Larry Estrin has been brought on board as strategic technology specialist.

Pinto’s brief is to help align corporate objectives with industry trends, identify market opportunities and collaborate with the A-T engineering and R&D departments to develop appropriate products. He will also formulate and support an integrated communications approach for the Audio-Technica brand, encompassing advertising, Internet presence, public relations, product literature, promotions and endorsements. Pinto is a graduate of Miami University (Ohio), and most recently was managing business director for Beech Acres. He previously worked at Evenflo and for Newell Rubbermaid’s Graco division.

In a related move, A-T has named industry veteran Larry Estrin as strategic technology specialist on a consultancy basis. Estrin will provide insight to industry trends and emerging technologies for the A-T sales, marketing and R&D departments, providing insight and guidance regarding industry product trends in current and future market sectors. He will also help increase A-T brand awareness in the marketplace. Estrin brings several decades of audio experience to his new position, particularly in the wireless area. An Emmy award winner, Estrin has played a prominent role in the successful audio production of many historic live broadcast events, including the Olympics and Super Bowl.
