Asahi Newstar relies on IconStation for branding

Asahi Newstar, a Tokyo-based 24-hour satellite TV news station owned by Satellite Channels, has installed the Harris IconStation SD/HD master control graphics and channel presentation system. The IconStation system has been on air since Oct. 1, 2006.

The IconStation system met all of Asahi Newstar's technical requirements, which included live SD video DVE squeezeback functionality; the ability to transition from SD to HD without replacing the chassis; the ability to display digital clock, crawl/roll text, still images and animation; and seamless communication with any automation software and with any live-feed data and database.

The IconStation system combines logo insertion with multiple real-time data crawls and a squeezeback DVE for maximum channel branding impact.
