APT makes key appointments

Veteran design engineer Greg Massey has returned to Belfast-based codec manufacturer Audio Processing Technology to assume the position of Chief Technical Officer. Massey, who has a lengthy career history in developing key embedded hardware and software systems for audio, biomedical and computer designs, rejoins the company after seven years with CEVA, a licensor of DSP cores, multimedia, GPS and other integrated applications.

APT has also appointed Hartmut Foerster to the newly created position of product manager for the company’s WorldNet Oslo audio codec, designed and developed for the broadcast and service provider market. Foerster comes to APT from his former position as managing director of Pro Audio Systems, APT’s German distributor since 1993, where he was instrumental in establishing the Open Audio Network, which connected post-production facilities throughout the country.
