Z Technology's new DSS5800 DTV 8-VSB portable digital TV signal analysis system is now available. The DSS5800 incorporates an 8-VSB demodulator with an upgrade path addressing improvements to the format of the DTV signal currently under consideration.
The unit also features proprietary and newly enhanced Z Technology application software to address the needs of television broadcasters.
The DSS5800 features RF field strength and digital television (DTV) decoded parameter measurements and adds unique plotting and mapping capabilities. Using this Windows-based system, a broadcaster can generate and plot signal coverage data and a full set of figure-of-merit parameters for DTV signals. Problems can be analyzed quickly to determine appropriate corrective action for improved signal coverage.
