Public broadcaster WXXI-TV Channel 21 in Rochester, N.Y. added high-definition to its digital signal last Wednesday. .WXXI-DT now includes a full-time HD channel, a children's channel, adult education programs and a digital version of regular programming on channels 21-1, 21-2, 21-3 and 21-4, the station reports. A statement from WXXI said that it's working with a local independent producer to create an HD program featuring the work of a local artist, Albert Paley. WXXI itself has produced four programs in 16:9, but in standard definition.
