WPSD-TV, the NBC affiliate in Paducah, KY, has added Chyron’s Channel Box channel branding and automated promo system to its local broadcast operations.
The system is now fully integrated with the company’s Lyric PRO rendering software at the station, which has also been running on Chyron’s HyperX graphics platform for years.
Channel Box incorporates the 3D animation capabilities that are common to Lyric PRO package. The playout control of tickers, crawls, self-adjusting promos and end credits can easily be done manually or with automation.
In addition to the Channel Box, HyperX and Lyric PRO, WPSD-TV also uses CAMIO, Chyron’s graphic asset management server and iSQ, which controls multiple channels of HyperX from a single position.
