Vizrt's Viz|Arena graphics system is providing graphics to Australia's TVN, the Thoroughbred Horse Racing channel. The system enables TVN to display animated 3-D regular and virtual graphics with replays, including visualizing the tracking of horses.
Viz|Arena enables broadcasters to superimpose static or animated 3-D graphics over live coverage of a sports event. The system keeps the graphics fixed in place, regardless of camera movement, giving viewers the impression that the 3-D graphics are part of the live coverage.
Also in Australia, Sky Channel is using the Vizrt Viz|Trio character generator technology for live on-air graphics from its production studios. Zspace, a provider of broadcast sports coverage, is using Vizrt for graphics coverage of Rugby Internationals for the Seven Network.
