Vinten Radamec introduces Fusion robotic and manual pedestal

Vinten Radamec, a provider of camera automation and support systems, has introduced the higher precision Fusion FP188 robotic and manual pedestal with switchable operation.

Capable of recognizing compact L-shaped floor targets that offer more precise reference positioning across a wider range of floor finishes, the pedestal also features smoother transition sequencing, unique collision avoidance protection and adjustable bumper sensitivity.

Despite the reduction in the weight of modern cameras, at least one talent-facing monitor is often attached to the camera head during HD production, alongside more traditional additions such as prompting equipment. Consequently, engineers have equipped the Fusion FP188 with a payload of 187lbs, and added new differential wheel trucks to maximize floor traction and enhance the unit’s shot stability performance.

The pedestal offers a flexible choice for multifunction studios where no-compromise full manual performance — including Vinten’s unique Perfect Balance system — can be selected at the turn of a switch.

Vinten Radamec also has new entry-level Fusion FHR120 robotic-only head, which, due to the absence of the manual changeover mechanism, offers users a lighter, more compact and affordable support system.

As well as delivering broadcast quality movement, the FHR120 can directly drive all full servo broadcast digital lenses from Canon and Fujinon — a feature unique to Vinten Radamec.
