Vela unveils HD decoder at NAB2004

The CineView HD LE decodes 480P, 720p and 1080i signals and includes an advanced 2.5D graphic processing unit with warping engine and multi-plane graphic support.

At NAB2004 Vela will unveil the CineView HD LE, a new professional high-definition decoder that supports all HD ATSC standards, both program and transport streams and enables frame-accurate playback of MPEG 4:2:0 video in both HD and SD profiles.

The CineView HD LE decodes 480P, 720p and 1080i signals and includes an advanced 2.5D graphic processing unit with warping engine and multi-plane graphic support. For those looking to run HD video into state-of-the-art multi-media displays, the unit allows users to inexpensively overlay animated graphics, logos and text.

In addition, the CineView HD LE provides a broad range of superior audio features including AAC, AC-3, MPEG and Dolby Digital support. Audio support can be optionally expanded with 6-channel AES and balanced/unbalanced analog input and output.

The CineView HD LE also supports trick modes such as pause, fast-forward, slow motion and rewind. Time code support, video scaling, LTC input/output, VTR machine control and optional DVB/ASI input all help make the CineView HD LE the high definition decoder of choice.
