When Toshiba, the chief proponent of HD DVD, starts shipping its A205 laptop soon, it plans to include an HD DVD demo disc as another way to promote its next-gen format.
The demo disc is geared to selling HD DVD as the next disc format, and according to High-Def Digest, includes a 1080p version of the “take the red pill” HD DVD branding trailer.
The demo disc also includes movie trailers for a variety of films on (or soon to be on) HD DVD, such as “The Bourne Ultimatum,” “Blades of Glory” and “Ocean’s 13.”
The demo disc is expected to also be available for free on eBay and other sites, where it will be bundled with other promotions and products.
