The Vitec Group has signed an agreement to acquire the Petrol Bags business from Band Pro Film & Digital. Petrol Bags is a designer and manufacturer of protective cases for the broadcast and professional video production markets. No financial details were available, but the deal is expected to be completed in the first quarter of this year.
Petrol Bags is based in Tel Aviv, Israel, and has been supplying products to Sachtler, a Vitec Group company, for more than four years.
Amnon Band, president of Band Pro Film & Digital, said combining Petrol bags with the Vitec Group organization would allow the business to grow faster and expand its reach.
