Telecast Fiber Systems hits the road after NAB

Directly following the NAB Show, Telecast Fiber Systems will showcase some of the fiber-optic video and audio systems aboard a mobile production truck designed and sponsored by TV Pro Gear. The truck will tour 14 U.S. West Coast cities in late April and May.

The FileCaster tour will feature 10 vendors onboard a six-camera HD mobile production truck with satellite transmission that incorporates the latest technologies available for mobile broadcasting. The idea is to demonstrate mobile broadcasting technologies from the 2009 NAB Show to those not able to make the convention in Las Vegas.

TV Pro Gear staff will demonstrate how to implement a tapeless workflow, how to maximize studio efficiencies, how to leverage portable fiber systems for low-cost and reliable transmissions, and many other topics.

The FileCaster, a converted van, will carry Telecast Fiber Systems’ Mini BoothPack, a bundle of the company’s solutions that includes the Telecast TelePort‚ CWDM wavelength manager, Adder II modular audio, intercom, and data multiplexing system, and DiamondBack 4x4 NTSC/PAL video multiplexer. The FileCaster will also feature the CopperHead camera-mounted fiber optic multiplexing system and SHED HDX hybrid elimination device and power adapter system.
