Streambox to feature live, IP-based contribution service at IBC2009
By TVTechnology published
Streambox will demonstrate Streambox Live, an IP-based contribution service, at IBC2009.
Streambox Live lets remote reporters and citizen reporters upload compressed live video streams to broadcast studios through Internet-based Streambox Live Data Centers. The Streambox Live service interoperates seamlessly with Streambox's platform of SD and HD broadcast-quality video encoders and decoders as well as its broadcast and distribution servers.
Streambox's Live Service enables broadcasters to deploy free encoding software to remote reporters and citizen reporters and pay only for videos that are decoded. The service enables broadcasters to aggregate large volumes of live- and file-based videos. Streambox Live encoders will be made available through Streambox's Web site at no charge. Broadcasters will be charged a small fee for downloading content on demand from Streambox Live Data Centers.
See Streambox at IBC2009 in Stand 7.J40.
