SSL to provide NBA Entertainment with C100 digital audio console


The C100 console will streamline the NBA's audio operations at the state-of-the-art NBAE production facility located in Secaucus, New Jersey. The C100 will be used for a variety of programs produced by the NBA as well as for NBA TV, the league’s 24-hour television network.

Solid State Logic will provide NBA Entertainment (NBAE) with a 96-channel, 48 fader C100 digital broadcast console that will be used to upgrade audio operations at the league’s production facility located in Secaucus, New Jersey.

NBAE will use the C100 digital broadcast console for a variety of programs produced by the NBA including NBA Inside Stuff, a youth-oriented magazine show broadcast nationally on ABC; NBA Match-up, a nationally televised NBA coaches show on ESPN; NBA Action, a highlight show on FOX Sports Net seen in more than 100 countries; and NBA Jam, a program for teenage fans distributed internationally.

The C100 and C200 are new digital consoles produced by SSL to address the on-air needs of broadcast operations. The C100 is a small footprint, assignable console, specifically designed for on-air studio applications, such as sports, and live-to-tape shows, where fast and efficient handling of sources and destinations are the most important aspects of the audio operator’s role. The transition to digital and HDTV with 5.1 audio is fully addressed by the C100 digital broadcast console, delivering operational efficiency in a cost-effective scalable package.
