Broadcasters looking for a cost-effective and reliable solution to on-air digital audio mixing have embraced Solid State Logic's C100 Series console.
Solid State C100 Series digital broadcast console continues to be embraced by broadcasters throughout North America for its reliability and ease of use.
The Canadian Broadcasting Company (CBC) recently purchased its fourth C Series console, for a new HD remote broadcast truck. The custom C148/64 console is a duplicate of an earlier installation of a C148/64 in CBC's inaugural HD remote broadcast truck. CBC has also installed a C140 for its national news programs and a C264 in its Toronto HD entertainment production studio.
In the United States, the CBS network's facility in Los Angeles has made a similar commitment to SSL consoles. “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” “The Price is Right,” “Real Time with Bill Maher” and other programs rely on a trio of C Series consoles: a C232 in post-production suite APP1, a C140 in Studio 58 and a C156 with custom patchbay integration in Studio 33.
On the East Coast, ABC has installed C100 consoles at the network's New York headquarters, TV3, home to “World News Tonight,” which features a C156, while TV24, studio for “The View,” has installed a C140 console. Another C140 is being installed at the network's Washington, D.C., news bureau.
E. W. Scripps Howard recently installed a C132 in the new control room of ABC affiliate WEWS-TV in Cleveland, while another Scripps-owned station, WFTS in Tampa, FL, features a C132. Food Network's celebrated New York City studio, another Scripps-owned entity, features a C132.
In addition, WTFX-TVC, the Fox owned-and-operated station in Philadelphia, has installed two C140 consoles in its renovated facility.
