Sony Intros New Subtitle Feature for Blu-ray
By TVTechnology published
Blu-ray Disc chief proponent Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will add a couple of new technical features to its planned August release of the motion picture “Immortal Beloved”--namely, an innovative user-controlled subtitle option--as well as offering Dolby TrueHD audio tracks in more than one language.
Subtitles (which are not particularly popular in America to begin with) have been known to prove distracting at times, depending on the aspect ratio. This new Blu-ray title, however, will allow users to manipulate the screen placement of subtitle text at their discretion, according to High-Def Digest.
Also, while a few other Blu-ray and HD DVD titles have included English Dolby TrueHD tracks, the new Blu-ray disc of “Immortal Beloved” will add TrueHD audio tracks both in Spanish and French.
