CBS recently purchased a Solid State Logic C200 digital production console to provide the digital audio mix for its daytime soap, "The Bold and the Beautiful." The C200 is based on Centuri technology and operates at 48kHz or 96kHz. Features include those in the MT+ series consoles with additional capabilities such as integrated DAW control and scalable DSP and a layer of signal path metering.
"We wanted to go digital to keep the general production flow evolving into an all-digital model," said Jonathan Fox, CBS post production audio engineering and maintenance supervisor.
CBS Television City is currently using several SSL consoles--the SL 6064G+ series, two SL 8064GB series and on SL 8040G+ installed.
