SignaSys aids South Carolina station's transition to digital
By TVTechnology published
WBHQ, an UPN/PAX/WB affiliate in Sumter, S.C., has bought a SignaCast Lite DTV system for its DTV transition.
SignaSys' SignaCast offers a range of systems and services designed for network affiliates, independents, and non-commercial stations. The system includes analog-to-digital converters, a router, an encoder solution, and a host of peripherals to handle closed captioning, PSIP and EAS. The system also includes a MUX, which allows for network pass-through of a digital signal and branding without decoding the network feed. Everything is integrated into <45RU rack. It is available with turnkey installation, or as an "install it yourself" unit.
WBHQ's SignaCast system is slated for pre-build at SignaSys' San Jose, Calif., headquarters for a mid-August delivery date.
